This was our first visit to Monteith’s Brewery for lunch. We were a group of 4 vegetarian folks. We had the noodle salad, cauliflower florets, beer-battered fries and Mexican tacos. All the dishes were nice, delicious and well presented. In particular, the cauliflower florets was the best, while the beer-battered fries dish was huge! The service was prompt. The seating and cutlery was good - plenty of space. We finished with a dessert- chocolate brownie- which was superb too. We will be happy to dine here again.
I love this place! Monteith's Brewery in Greymouth is always a good time, the staff are friendly, there's loads of room and the beer isn't too bad! I wish I had taken more photos, especially of the food (the fish and chips are great). They're not open on Monday - so don't do what I did and turn up to a closed bar. I loved their outdoor areas too, particularly the one with the festoon lights and outdoor fireplace. If you're looking for a place on the coast for a drink and eats, with friendly locals then Monteith's is the spot for you.
Had our dinner buffet style for a group of us from Singapore. This place is very chilled and stylist. Love their display and seats arrangement. The food was awesome. Highly recommend here.
A family dinner on Saturday evening. The venue was very full on arrival, which is usually a good sign, and we weren't disappointed, and glad we had booked. The food - ribs and fish and chips - was a generous portion and delicious. Recommended.
Went during lunch after noticing high # reviews. Didn't expect the high quality of food and beer being served! Beef Brisket burger is absolutely amazing! Packed with full of beef briskets and the bite was goooood! Salmon was so silky soft - almost to melting while chewing and it brings a new level of eating Salmon! Battered Fish & Chip is a classic dish. Phoenix IPA is so impressive that we bought six-pack cans on the spot.
